Ellis Knight is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to work for one of our key clients, at their European head office in Oxford.

This role is to be the lead and support the Accounts Payable department. To build a good relationship with suppliers, and colleagues from other departments and maintain regular contact to ensure that all expectations are being met.

Key Tasks:

Supervision of a team of Accounts Payable Assistants to include:
Progress reviews
Absence monitoring, approval and follow ups
Arranging training for new and existing Team members as required
Probation reviews and sign off with guidance from the Head of Accounts and the Finance Team Manager
Development and support of team members
Support the Accounts Payable (AP) team with high workload
Supervision and payment of all supplier invoices, staff expenses and prepaid card payments, ensuring payment policies are being adhered to
Build a good relationship with the suppliers
Build and maintain a professional relationship with the suppliers to ensure that all expectations are met
Assist with setting up new suppliers and monitoring of existing suppliers
Responsible for communicating to suppliers when sites change ownership or managing agents
Build a good relationship with colleagues from other departments and to work closely with the Finance Team Leaders ensuring consistency between teams and implementation of departmental initiatives and policies.
Assist in the production of information for Auditors
To participate in process improvement and documentation of processes and procedures within Client Accounts.

Knowledge and Skills:

Educated to minimum ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified. QBE will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years in a finance role or relevant post of similar responsibility.
Ability to meet deadlines

Ability to analyse & interpret data
Microsoft Excel to include V Lookups, If Statements and Pivot Tables
Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills
Microsoft Word and Outlook
