Business Analyst – London plus travel to sites.

Salary £35,000 to £38,000

Turning insights into business decisions

We have a great opportunity for a Business Analyst to turn data into information, information into insights, and insights into business decisions. Supporting the Account Lead and Operational team in carrying out data analysis, interrogation, and manipulation to resolve queries and deliver information on a daily basis. Liaising with our internal and external stakeholders for a large rail contract within our London division.

This is a versatile role supporting on a variety of tasks within a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.

Are you able to analyse data and spot trends/anomalies? Do you have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Smartsheets?

As Business Analyst you’ll be:

  • Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports as well as developing and implementing databases, and data collection systems, to optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Identifying, analyse, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets, filtering and “cleaning” data by reviewing reports, and key performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs, locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
  • Carrying out independent multisite quality audits to verify data and to identify significant improvements to present to the management team.
  • Take on individual project work and administration tasks and demonstrate initiative.
  • As Business Analyst you’ll have:

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, etc.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (SPSS, SAS) and proficiency use of Microsoft Office including Power BI and Smartsheet.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, passion for learning new analytical techniques, self-driven with a positive outlook, flexible approach, and ability to work equally well as a part of a team, or as an individual.
  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel.
