On behalf of our client, a growing utility supplier with a reputation for Customer excellence and being a great place to work, we are seeking a Credit Control Assistant to join their Antrim Based Accounts team. Reporting to the Customer Billing Manager and taking direction from the Credit Control Lead, the Credit Control Assistant will be responsible for ensuring monies are recovered from customers who do not pay within payment terms. The Credit Control Assistant will be responsible for tackling and preventing current and aged debt, demonstrating excellent customer service, whilst ensuring the delivery of required standards of performance. You will need: • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English & Maths, OR minimum of 1 year experience in a Credit Control role • Experience of working in a fast paced customer facing environment • Proven ability to work on own initiative and prioritise personal and team workload. • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop relationships across all departments • Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel and Word • Previous experience resolving customer queries • Highly motivated with a positive attitude Duties include: • Contact late paying customers by telephone, letter and email in order to recover outstanding payments • Negotiate with late paying customers in order to bring their account up to date • Highlight bad debt to the Credit Control Lead to be escalated for further action • Negotiate and confirm payment plans with customers and follow up on incoming payments • Liaise with the Sales and Account Management teams to obtain their full support in the proactive management of bad debts • Calculate customer deposits and process refunds when appropriate • Process domestic credit checks This is a full time, permanent role based Modern Offices in the Antrim Town, County Antrim area. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am- 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.45pm (37.5 hours and starting salary of £18,662.25 p.a. plus a performance related award and a fantastic range of benefits including: A performance related award of up to 15% of basic salary.
