What will you be doing day to day?

  • Deliver business insights by analysing and visualizing data to support SGN's Future of Energy strategy.
  • Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to source and transfer data across systems.
  • Manage, clean, abstract, and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data, with the ability to manipulate and link different data sets.
  • Support conversations with stakeholders using data analysis to influence and build SGN’s reputation for expertise in the transition of the Energy system.
  • Present data and conclusions in appropriate formats for internal and external users, highlighting benefits to the business and external parties.
  • What you’ll need

    A Degree or equivalent in either math, statistics, or computer science and a commitment to Energy transition.

  • Communication -  You're a skilled communicator who can engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're confident in leading discussions within multidisciplinary teams, managing divergent perspectives, and representing the team externally.
  • Data Management - You comprehend data governance and how it works in relation to other organisational governance structures. You can participate in or deliver the assurance of a service.
  • Data Modelling and Data Visualisation -  You can use the most appropriate medium to visualise data to tell compelling stories that are relevant to business goals and can be acted upon.
  • Logical and Creative Thinking -  You can respond to problems in databases, data processes, data products, and services as they occur. You can initiate actions, monitor services, and identify trends to resolve issues.
  • Project management -  You can apply your knowledge and experience of project management methodologies, including tools and techniques. You can adopt those most appropriate for the environment.
