Electrical Operations Manager
Due to phenomenal growth, my client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager required to join one of the UK’s fastest growing M&E Building Services companies with the UK head office located in Birmingham but with sites all over the UK.
My client has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in UK & multiple locations in Europe.
This Operations Manager role is joining an experienced team in a very fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider.
This role’s primary function is to liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and staff to deliver all aspects of contracted jobs in a professional manner to programme and within the company commercial targets.
Duties
* Oversee and review the project programme, including delivery strategy and ensure project milestones are reached in line with client expectations.
* Attend tender hand over meetings and engineer tender information transferred into the construction files.
* Select project team, chair project handover and start up meetings, in accordance with local compliance requirements.
* Structure Labour in collaboration with Labour Managers; manage employee and sub- contract pool.
* Attend high level meetings (sites/jobs); chair progress report meetings monthly; act as liaison between all parties.
* Attend all sites monthly, and more frequently where necessary.
* Be aware of and maintain all orders making recommendations as appropriate.
* Review sub contract packages and recommend supply chain based on suppliers’ resource and capacity ensuring the supply chain is not exposed to over commitment.
* Overview of quality programme, handover and certification.
* Monthly reports to SLT on status of each project using SLT template, covering: risks; concerns; programme; H&S; quality, handover.
* Manage resources and report monthly on available resources and gaps.
* Participate in recruitment and selection; manage employee performance including probationary period and annual performance review.
* Follow up with clients for feedback on completed projects.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks.
* Be the face of the company for all aspects on and off the job; polite and friendly, hard-working, flexible and fair.
* Create and maintain SharePoint document management system as appropriate to role
