Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Manchester) Salary: £40,458 inclusive of on-call allowance + Over Time available - realistic earnings of c£55,000+ p/a Benefits: Pension, Van, Fuel Card, etc Hours: Monday â Friday, 07:00 â 15:30 On call: 1 week in 4, 15:30 â 07:00 (Mon â Sun) Field Service Engineer A superb opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to work for a world-leading manufacturer of advanced heavy industrial conveyor equipment and complex material handling systems in a role that will really challenge your Engineering skills and experience! ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES The successful Field Service Engineer will have extensive experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex heavy industrial conveyors and material handling equipment incorporating; Electrical Systems, Electro-Mechanical, Drives, Invertors, Sensors Systems, PLCâs and PC/software control interfaces, bearings, chains, pulleys, gearboxes, etc. You will be well versed in Planned Preventative Maintenance and performing Root Cause Failure Analysis as part of incident investigations and breakdowns. CANDIDATE The successful Field Service Engineer will ideally be qualified with a Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 5 yearsâ experience working within a high-tech Service/Maintenance environment â ideally within an Electronic and Electro-Mechanical related field service role. Experience in working with PLC systems is highly advantageous. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * City and Guilds or equivalent recognised apprenticeship (ideally Electrically biased) * Engineering experience in a similar operation including parcel handling, FMCG/manufacturing. * Inverter drives, SCADA control, profibus, Asi, PC/PLC control would be advantageous.
