My client is looking for a Fundraising Officer to join their reputable and successful team.The Charity Taylor-Made Dreams make dreams happen for children with life limiting illness and provides the family with financial, emotional, and practical support alongside their difficult journey. We help create precious memories for families to cherish when time together is all far too short.The successful candidate: Experience, Skills and Knowledge Proven experience of Community/ Fundraising Proven ability to meet income targets Proven ability to plan, develop and achieve results from new ideas Confident public speaker Effective networking skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people Proven experience of recruiting volunteers and retaining supporters Proven social media skills and experience. Competent IT skills inc standard Microsoft packages such as Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook. Leadership and Management Experience of managing volunteers Experience of managing fundraising groups Personal Qualities Be proactive Ability to represent Taylor Made Dreams professionally at all times Hold a full driving license or travel effectively through other means A focus on attention to detail Have a personal commitment to, and understanding of equal opportunities Strong interpersonal skills A friendly and positive disposition Duties will include, but not be limited to: Contributing to and delivering against annual budgets, targets and plans. Proactively working in the community to identify and foster new supporters and fundraising groups - working in ways that encourage and support people to fundraise for Taylor Made Dreams. Providing supporters with a diverse range of fundraising opportunities for Taylor Made Dreams. Occasional evening or weekend work required for charity events or similar. Proactively use the fundraising database, ensuring that accurate, up to date financial and supporter records are maintained and accessible. Deliver - Tay Toddle Waddle and Tay Trek as a school wide mass participation event - across identified areas, achieving targets and increasing income by introducing new local events, if deemed financially viable. Providing a prompt response to requests for information from fundraising colleagues and management. Ensure all fundraising activity complies with charity legislation, Fundraising Standards Board guidelines, Taylor Made Dreams policies and procedures and Health and Safety requirements. To advise our supporters, where appropriate by sharing best practice guidelines. To attend and support at fundraising events/activities as and when deemed necessary. Manage all local/regional volunteers, encouraging ongoing personal development and use of transferable skills. Undertake all other reasonable duties as required by the CEO and board of Trustees.
