Role: Head of Department - Engineering Location: Greater Manchester Type: Permanent Rate: £45000 - £48000 Eden Brown Education are currently looking to recruit a curriculum manager in Engineering on behalf of a leading further education college in the Merseyside area. This a full time permanent role. The purpose of the role is to manage the course Leaders and lecturers to ensure that annual key performance indicators are achieved consistently across the entire curriculum offered within the Engineering Department. The successful candidate will manage all engineering curriculum areas to ensure performance meets all of the Colleges strategic and operational expectations, with focus on: * Learner recruitment * Learner progress * Attendance and punctuality, including to maths and English lessons * Progression to further learning and into employment. The purpose of the role is to Develop and implement policies and procedures which support the quality improvement of the Engineering area, you will lead members of a team to deliver appropriate curricula and ensure the sharing of good practice developing links with the Engineering industry, employers and training providers with the focus of participating in new Engineering initiatives, increasing work based learning and work experience opportunities for all levels of learners. With recent experience of teaching and leading on a range of programmes and a detailed knowledge of curriculum developments, the successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent and a teaching qualification and have experience of internal moderation of programmes A DBS is also needed for this role. if you do not have a current DBS Eden Brown will apply for one on your behalf.
