Early Years Scotland is our national charity for children from pre-birth to the age of five, and provide every child in the country with high-quality experiences that enrich their lives whilst providing an equal and excellent start in life.

Their work is broad and encompasses working directly with young children and their families, and a professional learning academy through to advocacy and advice around policy, practice, and legislation.

A team of qualified early years professionals bring considerable experience and knowledge in early learning and childcare policy and practice to the charity.

The services delivered aim to strengthen and improve confidence, attachment, transitions, interactions, shared learning, the home learning environment, and attainment in young children.

The newly devised role of Income Generation Manager will drive a strong increase to Early Years Scotland donations and related income generation to enable significant growth in their provision of services and support they can offer to children, families, communities, and members.

The successful candidate will bring strategic leadership and energy to ensure a rolling income generation and fundraising strategy is developed and reviewed, providing for the growing financial needs of the charity.

Our work focuses on improving early learning and development through shared interactions and play.

Early Years Scotland engages with policymakers on a regular basis to inform and influence local and national policy. We offer analysis of current and new policy and legislation, allowing us to provide clear and concise information and support to our members.

We are also delivering and further developing a range of training and professional learning opportunities for the sector.

As the number of hours of Early Learning and Childcare increase, and the level of service required continues to rise, Early Years Scotland aims to ensure that quality is not compromised.
