Y1 Teacher – Bishop Auckland

Salary: £650-£750 per week (experience depending)

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school based in Bishop Auckland, that are seeking a candidate to work under the instruction/guidance of the Head Teacher to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching in Y1.

You will also be working with children that have Autistic conditions, Speech, Language and Communication needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Sensory Needs, Cognition and learning Needs, to manage and support them in lessons. 

The successful candidate will be working with a Year 1 class of mixed ability.

The role starts in September up until December with potential to extend.

We are seeking a teacher who possesses the following qualities:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum, with a keen understanding of the importance of data analysis.
  • Has the ability to inspire pupils and support staff, displaying passion and commitment to improving standards.
  • Has a DBS on the update service 
  • Utilizes available resources, including ICT, effectively to enhance children's learning experiences.
  • Is confident in creating an inclusive learning environment, adept at supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) to foster their educational progress.
  • Possesses comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of various teaching and behaviour management strategies, implementing them effectively to achieve optimal results.
