35 hours per week - 22:00-8:00

We are looking for a self- motivated, caring and compassionate individual at our supported living premises in Moseley, Birmingham, which is home to adults with learning disabilities, Autism and enduring mental health issues.

You will be making a real difference to individuals with complex needs, helping them to adjust to everyday life.

In this role, you'll be supporting a male with mental health issues and complex behaviours, supporting him throughout the night in his own home, in the Moseley area.

This is no ordinary job. Here at Aspirations Care you will offer individual support and encouragement to help some amazing people to live a fulfilling and independent life.

The Role

You will help our people with the challenges of everyday life and encourage them to maintain a healthy night-time routine and sleeping habits. 

We will provide the training necessary for the other parts of the job – things like completing the paperwork, meeting the standards of CQC, and how to give the best possible support to our people whilst helping make their lives richer and more fulfilled .

The Person

  • You will have a caring and positive nature and genuinely want to make a difference.
  • You will be empathetic and understanding of others and be able to remain calm and collected in pressured situations. 
  • The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role dealing with challenging behaviours.
  • You will be required to work 3 nights one week and 4 the following (alternating on a weekly basis) 
  • Excellent communication skills and a resilient nature are both essential.
