Role Outline:

The role of Payroll Clerk is a new role that has been created to complement the existing HR Advisor with the sole responsibility to run a Monthly payroll of circa 233 employees and payroll for any employees who fall under the existing weekly run.

Working alone in this role will see you directly responsible for ensuring the complete delivery of Payroll on time each month through the collation of all anomalies throughout the month for processing. Acting as a point of contact for Payroll enquiries you will be able to effectively answer all Pay, Pension, and Benefits questions with confidence whilst ensuring all information is dealt with the strictest of confidence.

Alongside Payroll you will also be responsible for the issuing of P60's, P11's completing statutory year ends and of collating monthly information from Time & Attendance, and chasing Line Managers for outstanding information.

Working as part of the existing HR Function there will be times where you are asked to support the HR Advisor for the processing of new starters and leavers, update employee personal records, amendments to contracts, sickness recording, and other HR support duties.


We are looking to see applications from candidates who can confidently run a Monthly Payroll end to end independently.

You will have worked ideally with SAGE however for the right candidate's other Payroll systems will be considered. Flexibility is key when applying as part of his role will see you supporting the HR Advisor for the upkeep of HR Administration including Contracts, New Letters Of Employment, Starters and Leaver paperwork.

As a team player, you will be able to liaise with all levels throughout the business whilst ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Salary/ Benefits:

£25,000 per annum (DOE)
