About the Role
We are looking for an experienced People Operations Director who champions our company's purpose of ‘creating safe and nourishing spaces for millions of people’ internally at Trailmix. To help us achieve our purpose you’ll be responsible for all people and facilities related day-to-day operations, ensuring we continue to build a highly effective organisation while remaining fully aligned with our values.
You’ll report directly to our CFO, supporting them with all operational and people needs. You’ll gain broad exposure across all business areas by working closely with the whole cross discipline leadership team at Trailmix, building an in-depth understanding of how to successfully manage our teams and by extension run our business day-to-day. You’ll become a master in living and breathing our vision of ‘Creating safe and nourishing spaces’ by always looking to optimise and improve how we do things. You’ll do this by being known for:
Helping ensure everyone has the best ‘Trailmix experience’ and journey possible
Being a hands on leader known for having a ‘how can I help mentality’ and someone who advocates that across the company and especially within the teams that you manage
Helping to maintain and improve our studio (our home) where everyone can be the best version of themselves
Your ability to juggle multiple priorities, balancing team and the business needs
Your proactivity in spotting problems and solving them quickly whilst balancing stakeholder needs / feedback
Support our People and Wellbeing manager with prioritising and implementing various initiatives
Further define, communicate and roll out our People strategy
Own our annual Performance/ Feedback Review process and create a healthy feedback culture at Trailmix
Be responsible (either directly or via your direct reports) for anything related to team events, moments of delight, Swag, or other things related to our culture and relationship building
Lead a team of talent acquisition managers and help them to run a smooth and effective process for our candidates and hiring team
Create and implement effective and innovative strategies on how to reach the best in the industry via employer branding, industry events and initiatives and others
Ensure everyone has the best ‘Trailmix experience’ possible including a smooth onboarding process and support managers in following our probation period process
Create safe and nourishing spaces which helps everyone to be the best version of themselves, which is aligned with our values and which shows that high care and high performance are not mutually exclusive
Manage our office ops team and help them to be the go-to for all office requests and equipment
Be responsible for the planning, execution and cost management of all office related activities, including expansion
5+ years Experience in similar operations roles with direct management responsibility
Incredibly strong communication skills, with the ability to build healthy and productive relationships
Self-starter and entrepreneurial with a drive to learn quickly and take on new challenges with rigor
Resilience is paramount - people will notice when things go wrong but not when things go right
Games industry experience is not required but curiosity and excitement for who we are and what we do and willingness to learn is expected
Nice to Have
Good knowledge of UK and German labor law
Worked in a creative and/or tech industry
Trailmix is operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings X with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
