Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Plumbing and Heating Operative to work as part of the Maintenance team.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum depending upon skills and experience.

Reporting to the On-Site Services Manager and working closely with the Assistant On-Site Services Manager, this role provides proactive and efficient operational plumbing and heating services at the College and its broader estate.

General duties and responsibilities of our Plumbing and Heating Operative: Providing first response to heating and hot water issues at the College and undertake repairs as necessary Overseeing the servicing and maintenance of pressurised equipment that is undertaken by specialist contractors Working closely with the Project Team to coordinate essential maintenance and refurbishment works with major construction projects Managing and improving the controls for the various heating and hot water systems Issuing and controlling all appropriate legal paperwork (e.

g.

certificates of testing, etc.
