Here at Hays Education we work with a number of schools in Bury LA and the surrounding areas, and we are regularly looking to supply these schools with cover teachers for classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

These roles are available on a day-to-day and short term basis, so this is a great role for someone is looking to reduce their work load and have a better work-life balance or for someone who is either looking to get back into teaching or is new to teaching.

Your new role

In this role you will be expected to cover various classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, however we can work to personal preference and only place you in years that you arefortable in.

You will be required to cover lessons that have been left absent by the class teacher and more often than not work will be left for you to deliver to the class.

Sometimes in longer positions you will be required to plan your own lessons and mark work, in some schools time off lessons may be given in order for you to do this.

We have positionsing up daily, so this role will suit full time and part-time.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you will be required to hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK.

You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running.

You should possess good behaviour management skills and be adaptable to any situation.

Good knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum is preferred however this could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.
