Scientific Technical Support AssistantLocation: Cambridge, CB23 8SQSalary: £20k - £26k per annumContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pmLooking for a scientific role away from the lab?This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US) and Zoetermeer (NL), providing products and services globally.We are looking for a hard-working, competent and organized individual to join our high-paced, dynamic Technical Support Team in Bar Hill. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service worldwide, identifying customers' needs and assisting them to find the correct products and solutions.Roles and Responsibilities:Helping customers via email and phoneTroubleshooting applications (such as WB, IHC, ELISA, etc)Resolving complaints by proposing solutions which ensure customer's satisfactionLiaising with colleagues and channel partners globally to ensure data is readily availableUpdating product and website dataReviewing processes and customer feedbackIdentifying and suggesting automation and/or improvements for front and back-end processes, workflow and functionality.Essential Requirements and Skills:Life sciences degree (BSc, MRes, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experienceKnowledge of laboratory techniques (WB, IHC, ELISA, etc)Fluent in EnglishDesired Requirements and Skills:Practical laboratory experience in at least 2 techniquesCreative and methodical thinking for problem resolutionAbility to explain things logically and clearlyAttention to detail and ability to think outside the box'You will be organized, decisive, efficient and practical.
