Job Description:

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
School Type: Independent SEMH School
Age Group: 11-16 years old
Student Focus: Autism and SEMH (related to past trauma)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Students: Provide individualised support to students with Autism or SEMH needs.
2. Assisting in Learning Activities: Support the delivery of educational activities and interventions.
3. Building Relationships: Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a supportive learning environment.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to contribute to holistic student development.
5. Outdoor Education: Engage with the dedicated outdoor education facilities, promoting a well-rounded learning experience.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience working with students with Autism or SEMH needs is preferred.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or special education are advantageous.
• Passion: A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
