About The Role We’ve got a fantastic job for a Technical Manager, Vendor Assurance to join our team in Bradford to focus on leading the supplier performance for our manufacturing sites.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for delivering supplier performance through the audit programme including providingtechnical advice and support at the heart of manufacturing.

This role is responsible for delivery of the safety, legality, quality and integrity of Morrisons manufacturing products.

Last year we launched our ‘4 day week’.

The working pattern for this role is 4 days per week of 9 hours per day, based in our Bradford Head Office.

There is also a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays, or 13 per year (for 6 hours) in Head Office.

Role Responsibilities; Keep abreast of competitor activity, industry and retail sector/technical issues Ensure that all suppliers comply with the relevant standards and legislation Manage supplier and customer relationships and ensure compliance to GSCOP Manage and maintain the clear reporting structure to all customers and stakeholder Strong, risk based decisive leadership and direction for all technical decisions Work at senior level across the company and in particular with Manufacturing, Trading, Ethical and Welfare functions Conduct supplier audits, deliver audit reports and manage non conformance Lead, develop and motivate the suppliers to improve performance Conduct risk assessment, escalate as appropriate and advise of suggested actions Lead the manufacturing supplier audit plan in conjunction with the audit provider Manage and maintain the online supplier management system Liaise with the Morrisons Ethical team to maintain compliance to the Morrisons Ethical code of practice.

Regular review of GFSI status of suppliers About You Desirable Skills and Knowledge: Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology or a closely related discipline Lead Assessor Qualification and/or experience of auditing food manufacturing sites Recognised HACCP Qualification to advanced level Post-graduate experience in a technical role within manufacturing or retail to enable you to fulfil the role of supporting our suppliers and sites In-depth knowledge and understanding of food manufacturing processes and the required food safety controls Advanced knowledge of food microbiology, risks assessments and incident management Multi category knowledge Experience with specification systems, factory auditing and non conformance close out Experience with GSCOP and managing supplier relationships and contracts Tenacity to follow up and resolve issues Customer focussed with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
