Year 5 Teaching AssistantA large two-form entry Primary School in Blackpool are in need of a teaching assistant to help out with the class teaching of a Year 5 class from January 2022 until July 2022. This is to cover a maternity. Therefore, this position looks to be a great opportunity to secure some long-term TA work within a ‘GOOD’ Primary school with a ‘very friendly welcoming staff’.Details of the role.Working 8:45 to 3:15 this role will be full time, Monday to Friday. The duties of this role will be to help out with the presentation of teaching, to monitor small groups progression and to work closely with pupils who are short of their academic attainment grades. In addition there will also be small group interventions to run, where a group of up to 3 pupils will be taken out of the classroom to help them with guided reading and basic phonics. The pay rate for this role will be £10.20 to £11.20.Details of the school.This is a ‘GOOD’ school, as the Deputy has emphasised the safe and stimulating environment they have fostered in the school. Along with this, academic attainment across the school is good, and pupil behaviour is also good. The school is based in Blackpool and is highly assessable by car and pupil transport (the school has a staff car park).Requirements on the candidate.
Must have a DBS and safeguarding certificate (the school will support the applications of these)Must have a CACHE/NQT level 2 in a related qualificationMust be confident in running small group interventionsShould have previous experience working within a primary school (6 months)
