Administration Assistant – Volunteering Services

14 Hours per week

Salary - £12 per hour

Trinity Hospice touches thousands of lives every year but we couldn’t provide great care without the support of our wonderful volunteers. Whichever part of the Hospice you are in, every day of the year, you’ll meet a volunteer. Our volunteers are involved in almost every aspect of life at Trinity and they help to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which can dispel some of the myths about hospices and palliative care.

The successful candidate will be joining an established team, and an organisation which is highly rated by the people who work there. The 2023 Staff Survey found 98% of respondents enjoy the work that they do, 96% were proud to work for our Charity and 96% enjoy working with the people within the organisation.

This is a varied administrative role which includes assisting with administration tasks providing administrative support where required.

The tasks at hand can vary from general office duties, end to end recruitment process for Volunteers and ad-hoc admin related tasks. You will be using Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and so a good working knowledge of these would be an advantage.

The right candidate ideally will have previous administrative experience and will be comfortable in a busy, hands-on and varied role. The key requirements are efficiency and excellent communication skills, this is a role for a meticulous, problem-solving people person. They will also be self-motivated, with the ability to work closely with colleagues in a small team, as well as with volunteers.

Trinity Hospice is a great place to work, having an outstanding rating with the Care Quality Commission and Investors in People Gold accreditation. If you are looking to join a thriving, increasingly innovative organisation, which puts passion and care at the heart of its operations, then this may well be the post for you.

Benefits:

  • 38 days holiday, inclusive of public holidays (pro-rata)
  • Free on-site parking
