About the role

We are delighted to share a unique opportunity within the Tesco Marketing function for a Media & Audience Analyst. The role is at the heart of the largest and most effective in-house media teams in the UK. The role is responsible for providing deep insights and understanding of our business and marketing challenges. As a Media Analyst, you will independently manage and deliver projects utilising our data to deliver robust analytics and support our internal teams. This role would suit someone who has  a  strong analytical background, and will have a familiarity with the omni-channel landscape and has developed a strong understanding of how to capture and utilise data across channels, from creating tagging and taxonomy to measurement with web analytics tools.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing audience management strategies to help drive marketing omnichannel campaigns.
  • Implementing and managing integrations between data platforms that are used for the digital media buying experience (LiveRamp, Adobe Audience Manager, GA4)
  • Producing relevant insight reports from various data sources (e.g. site reports, event reports, trends analysis, topics analysis, audience analysis) that support audience creation and lead generation performance.
  • Turning data into actionable insight
  • Developing story-telling presentation decks 

You will need

  • Analytical problem solving with consistent track record to conceptualise and build audience insights for potential targeting within media programs and overall analysis.
  • Experience with building audiences in DSPs or DMPs Experience with Adserver and DSP integrations Experience with Data Platforms, including experience working in a DMP, CDP and DSP interfaces to build traits, segments, push audience live and prepare audience analysis
  • Experience of data visualisation platforms i.e Tableau Basic level of manipulating data from a variety of sources - Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and/or SQL skills is a plus
  • Experience working in an insights or research role
  • Confidence in communicating and good presentation skills
  • Passion for data and research 
  • Good attention to detail
