Our Factual Entertainment team deliver some of the UK’s most entertaining and enriching programmes, giving audiences an escape from reality through relatable, funny and aspirational content. Countryfile, our well-loved and highly- acclaimed production, made by BBC Studios Productions in Bristol, is looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced Production Coordinator to join their team from the beginning of June.

The Production Coordinator will play a key role in the day to day running of the production, working closely with the Line Producer, JPM and editorial colleagues, and will be responsible for key daily elements of the production in a fast paced environment, producing weekly shows year round.

Main Responsibilities

As the day to day focal point for the production team, you will report to the Line Producer and work closely with the Junior Production Manager to provide logistical and financial support to the production team.
You will:-

‚ Contribute to the scheduling and budgeting of the production content
‚ Responsible for the forecasting and monitoring of filming budgets, overseeing the cost trackers for the Production Management Assistants.
‚ Responsible for setting up shoots, booking resources, retrieve quotes from suppliers and negotiate deals.
‚ Ensure compliance with BBC policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements, in order to minimise the BBC’s exposure to risk.
‚ Responsible for ensuring all necessary rights are acquired and recorded for the complete delivery of the production, escalating any issues at the earliest stage.
‚ Ensures the production delivers demonstrable value for money through effective and efficient management of people and resources.
‚ Maintains a safe and healthy working environment at all times, escalating any issues or areas of concern.

Are you the right candidate?

‚ Experience in a Production Co-ordinator role on a broad slate of productions, on time and on budget.
‚ Have experience in creating, monitoring and forecasting budgets
‚ A proven track record of being organised and responsive in fast paced environments
‚ Be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills and manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
‚ Be able to demonstrable a working knowledge of end-to-end production process with a level of technical understanding to enable the most efficient production of content.
‚ Have demonstrable knowledge of post-production process.
‚ Demonstrable experience in implementation of sustainability initiatives on productions and experience in accurate data capture for Albert Certification.
‚ Have experience of monitoring and managing Health & Safety on a production
‚ Be able to manage interpersonal relationships effectively and work collaboratively within a diverse team.
‚ Have interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts, both internally and externally.
