About us

Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is a globally leading independent arts, design, performance and media university.

At AUB we nurture creativity, engage communities, collaborate with industry and make a difference.

Our commitment to EDI

Our core commitment to diversity, inclusion and a sustainable future truly values the diversity of our students and staff, creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s identities and talents are valued and respected. We welcome applications from all areas of the community and particularly encourage applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds and people who are disabled, who are currently underrepresented in our workforce.

About the role

The successful applicant will join the Student Records Team within the Registry department, supporting registration, student finance queries, assessment and Partnerships related operations and activities to drive the continuous improvement of data relating to student record processing. Essential qualities include excellent planning and organisational skills, along with the ability to exercise initiative, and a meticulous degree of accuracy and attention to detail. As a team player with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, you will be able to handle competing priorities and manage a diverse workload, responding constructively as challenges arise, and supporting colleagues in achieving the wider team’s objectives.

You will ideally have knowledge of systems and processes involved in student administration and experience in providing a high-quality service in recording, maintaining and analysing data. You will be key to maintaining an accurate student record management system (SITS), and business process that underpin the key stages of the student life cycle.

The Registry department is committed to providing a quality service to colleagues and students so you must have effective communication skills and enjoy working within a busy external facing department, which involves dealing with queries via email, phone and in person. You will need to be self-motivated and a committed team player as well as be able to demonstrate an interest in Higher Education issues. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience is required. A degree level qualification or equivalent experience would be an advantage.

Our benefits

In meeting your performance expectations, each year you’ll have a salary increase in line with the grade of your role. As well as this there is an annual cost of living increase. AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment. Along with subsidised bus travel, cycle to work and annual savings schemes, our broad range of benefits can be explored on the AUB careers website.

AUB has an agile working policy, and flexible working can be considered. If you require support with your application or have any questions about the role or recruitment process, please email us. If you are disabled, we are committed to supporting you with any reasonable adjustments you require, so please email us and we’ll be in touch.
