We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Manager to join our Business Intelligence Operations Team. Reporting directly to the Principal Product Manager of Data & Insights. You will be empowered to lead on outcomes for Business Intelligence Operations Crew in partnership with our BI Engineers. You will be responsible for outcomes that enable Dunelm to be data informed in a fast-paced retail environment.

What you'll be doing

The primary focus of the Business Intelligence Operations Team is to deliver and support trading and operational business intelligence requirements to our partners across the business. As a Technical Product Manager for this team, you will work with both your own crew and business stakeholders in the development of data products.

This will involve day to day support of BI and trading insights; critical to understanding our business performance as well as continuously improving the way in which it is delivered. You will also own stakeholder relationships to understand future needs, translating them into a prioritised and actionable backlog to be delivered by your cross functional engineering team. The team will have a high degree of autonomy to assess the most appropriate technical solution, driven by the senior engineer, to deliver business outcomes in an agile and timely fashion.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of and experience implementing business intelligence and analytics solutions coupled with strong stakeholder relationship and management skills. You will excel at communicating complex business challenges to the broader crew, providing both the context and required outcomes in sufficient detail to enable the crew to design, build and implement the most appropriate reporting and analytic solution. You will also contribute to the development of the wider strategic Data & Insights roadmap.

About You

  • Experience leading engineering colleagues to design, build and deploy reporting, dashboard and analytics solutions.
  • Hands on experience managing stakeholder relationships in a high demand environment.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands at any one time.
  • Working knowledge of product management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing or data platforms
  • You will have had some experience with the development of Data Products and have had experience either executing against a roadmap or contributing to its strategic development.
  • You will be familiar with working in an agile environment or have led agile teams. You will have a track record of learning at speed and applying into complex or unfamiliar contexts.
  • You will have reasonable knowledge, awareness or use of BI reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker etc.). You may also have a working knowledge or experience of database technologies or modern data platforms.
  • Good experience of using Jira, Confluence, Slack, Monday.com, Roadmunk, Miro, MS Office and other common frameworks, tools and software used in Agile development.
