What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for an energetic &a;ldquo;can do&a;rdquo; individual to work within the grounds maintenance team of environmental services to take on responsibility for managing the boroughs trees.

You will need an understanding of and experience in the field of arboriculture. If you feel that you are the outstanding individual that we are looking for, and if you are up to the challenge and would relish this opportunity, we would welcome your application.

Your main accountabilities will be:

  • Provide of an authoritative and competent arboriculture service to the council.
  • Contribute to the development of policy ensuring that the council's statutory duties relating to trees remain up-to-date and that best practice is adhered to.
  • Provide a specialist advice to the public, councillors, partner organisations and internal departments, possibly attending evening committee or other meetings and assisting with the presentation of reports to councillors.
  • Be aware and keep up to date on new developments in arboriculture and promote good practice
