3D/CAD Designer in City of London

The Asprey Group are recruiting for a talented 3D/CAD Designer to assist the Silver, China & Crystal Category, Corporate & Export and Workshop departments with 3D Printing and CAD production design support.

Responsibilities

• CAD Design for client commissions, stock manufacturing, prototype and product development across our Silver, Jewellery and Leather categories
• 3D printing and rapid prototyping of our designs and product development projects
• Creating accurate technical drawings for the Jewellery and Silver Workshops
• Liaising with Category Designers and the Workshop Manager to ensure our 3D manufacturing processes are achievable and efficient. To be the key point of contact between the two areas
• Preparing CAD files for casting
• Assisting the Silver Category & Export Department with creating 3D models and CAD visuals for client presentations
• Maintaining 3D printing machines to ensure a clean, safe and efficient workshop
• Research of new technology with the aim of integrating this into our current setup
• Self-management of workload and time

Skills/Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience or greater with Rhino (ESSENTIAL) and Matrix Gold.
• 5 years’ jewellery or silver trade experience (ESSENTIAL). Leather experience would be helpful.
• Experience working with 3D printing machines.
• Experience working with casting companies.
• Bench experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work with multiple teams and prioritise workload.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly to a change in design or manufacturing process, anticipating what will be required.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to multitask on several projects concurrently.
• Attention to detail with the ability to contribute and communicate CAD design ideas to various stakeholders.
• Clean CAD modelling.
