Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to aerospace industries world-wide .What's on Offer:Straight to permanent£18.50/hr37hr/weekOT multiplier is 1.5X until Sat morning and then 2X from Sat afternoon & all day SundayA rotating shift pattern consisting of 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6amThis role will report directly to the Weld Manager and you will be expected to work with minimal supervision, once you've been trained.Duties will involve the following:Setting up the Sub arc welding machine, this includes aligning and adjusting themachineUsing the machine to carry out weld repairs, as specified by blueprints, layouts, welding procedures, and operating chartsSelecting the correct voltage and power of the machineVisually examining welds for adherence to specificationsAdjusting machine set up according to vary size, location and penetration of beadWelding materials such as Titanium, Stainless, Mild Steel, Inconel, High Carbon content steels.Preheating surfaces, using hand torch or heating furnacesAbility to record work progress on a computer.Burning/Lancing experienceAbility to fabricate as required.Essential skills, experience and knowledge:The successful candidate must:Be a time served Welder with experience of TIG and Stick Welding technics.Have a proven track record of Fabricating works to a high standard.Be able to interpret work instructions, drawings and schematic drawingsBe computer literateBe able to work at heights and in enclosed spacesHave knowledge and application of safe working practicesHave excellent verbal and written communication skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving business, who can offer long-term stability & career progression for the right candidates.
