Audit And Accounts Trainee in Farnham

We are currently partnering with an expanding accountancy organisation in Farnham, recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Trainee to join the Compliance team.

This is a full time, permanent position, with flexible and hybrid working options available.

This is a trainee position which includes full training and support.

Whilst you will have a mixture of both audit and accounts work, the position will be primarily accounts focused.

Key Responsibilities:Build productive working relationships within the organisation and with clientsDevelop and apply technical knowledge through on-the-job training and formal qualificationsUse accounting software for accurate reporting to managers, partners, and clientsProduce profit and loss accounts and balance sheetsPrepare basic tax computations and returns, such as corporation taxPrepare working papers, including bank and other reconciliations, and manual control accountsHelp prepare and finalise statutory accounts under your manager's supervisionAssist senior staff on audits, including checking bank reconciliations, attending stock takes, preparing profit and loss schedules, and auditing debtors and creditorsExperience/Skills Needed:You must have either 3 A Levels (Grades A, B, B or above/equivalent), or you are a university graduate (or are graduating this year) and are on track for a 2:1 or aboveGCSEs in Maths and English at grade 5 or aboveProven communication skills, both written and verbalStrong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quicklyExceptional attention to detailA positive, confident, and proactive attitude Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivatedWillingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studiesRelevant work experience and/or experience would be great but not essentialCompany Benefits:Full funding and support to study AAT/ACCA qualification, including study leave and time off for exams Hybrid and flexible workingCareer progression plansIn-depth training and induction processCompetitive salary and benefits package including pension, life assurance, health cash plan, retail discount scheme, electric vehicles salary sacrifice, cycle to workGenerous holiday allowanceWellbeing programme with regular events and activities focused on your physical and mental wellbeing – employees are also offered one Wellbeing Day off a yearPlenty of opportunities to increase your technical knowledge and skillsIf you have the relevant skills and experience, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity, so click ‘Apply’ now!
