As a Youth Mentor, you need to be approachable since you will be the student's point of contact or someone they feel comfortable talking to when they have concerns. Youth Mentors are responsible for role modelling a positive and encouraging way of life for the students who will look up to them as role models. The role of a youth mentor is to help youth arrange educational programs, youth recreational activities such as sports, arts and drama, as well as to assess their health, social and emotional needs.
