Building Surveyor

Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

£36,000 - £38,000 + £3,000 market supplement

Full Time, Permanent

Sellick Partnership Ltd are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join one of our Nottinghamshire based clients on a permanent basis

Daily duties of the Building Surveyor:

  • Assist in providing a professional and efficient service to effectively manage and deliver the maintenance, improvement and renewal of both land and building assets
  • Respond to and deal with reactive non-planned repairs inc. site inspection, analysis of problem, identification of works required, appointment of contractor and supervision of repairs on a variety of commercial properties
  • Undertake schedules of dilapidations and condition surveys, preparing, coordinating, executing and supervising a planned programme of maintenance, repair and renewal of assets, together with reactive maintenance and major works
  • Preparing specifications, designs and drawings, contract and tender documentation, procure services and complete tender appraisal
  • Provide on site supervision and inspections to ensure contract standards have been met and to take action to rectify defects

Essential experience of the successful Building Surveyor:

  • Minimum five years' experience delivering small and medium sized commercial building works
  • Knowledge and experience of building regulations, procurement and JCT/NEC forms of contract
  • Previous experience with managing budgets
