Requirements

The successful candidate will be working with our technology team, to help secure our customer facing web applications and the services which run our company.

The Person:

A successful candidate should have,

• Good knowledge of AWS in general
• Excellent knowledge of Linux
• Basic understanding of Windows and common services (IIS, Active Directory, etc)
• Good understanding of networking concepts
• System administration skills
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Cloud Formation ideally, but Terraform relevant experience is also fine
• Configuration management - Chef ideally, but Ansible/Puppet relevant experience is also fine
• Strong understanding of foundational AWS services (VPC, IAM, ELB, ECS, EC2, RDS)
• Ability to code in at least one scripting language (bash, Python, Ruby, Go)
• Experience building containers (Docker)
• Must be able to be on the on-call rota approximately once a month
• Ability to relay technical concepts to non-technical people
• Be a team player
• excellent communication skills

Desirable requirements

• Hold one or more of the following AWS certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Associate
