Defendant EL / PL Solicitor in Wingfield

This is a superb opportunity to join an established Top Tier law firm, due to the development and continued growth of the firm’s Casualty department, it is now seeking to appoint a talented lawyer to manage a caseload of litigated Non-DA employers liability and public liability cases.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling litigated cases, from initial contact to settlement or trial with cases typically valued to £100,000.

You will be responsible for investigating indemnity, liability, reviewing medical evidence and records, instructing counsel, considering quantum and making offers of settlement.

The Candidate

• Paralegal / Solicitor / CILEx with experience of running an EL / PL case load
• Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Strong legal and leadership skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional and effective communication with team members and clients
• Understanding of case law and litigation practice as well as SRA Standards & Regulations
