Design EngineerOur client is looking for a design engineer due to an increase in workload.The role involves working within the design team on a range of comprehensive equipment.Key Experience/Skills:Experienced in the use of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.Ideally from an engineering background.Be able to work on your own or as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines.Be able to deal directly with suppliers to obtain prices and delivery times.The following would be advantageous, but not essential:Previous shop floor experience including Machining, Welding, Fabrication or an apprenticeship in a similar settingA working knowledge of the following, both at user design and calculation levels:Steam systems and energy calculationsFluid systems, pumps and pipe workPneumaticsStress calculationsSizing of motor/gearboxes for applicationsSheet metal developmentTolerance of machined partsHours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Mon – Fri).
