Embedded Software Engineer in Birmingham

We are looking to support one of our project teams with Software expertise for a project we have taken on based in the West Midlands.

This is a 12 Month Contract, Hybrid posting (3 Days On-Site)

You will be joining a team in automotive electric vehicle design and development..

You will be involved in the development and testing of low-level functions for the battery management system product, using a TMS processor and RTOS.

As the engineer your experience will include:nStrong C-coding skills is key, ideally using the Texas Instruments TMSnExperience of ISO-26262nExperience with MISRA C coding guidelinesnExperience with auto-code generation in SimulinknExperience with version control systems (SVN, GIT)nExperience with CAN, UDS, XCP implementation.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks:

Writing code CnParticipate in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and plans.

nReview requirements and contribute to code reviews for quality assurance.

nDevelop and debug embedded automotive software features.

nWrite and execute unit tests, and participate in integration testing.

nUpdate technical documentation and attend relevant meetings.

nStay updated with industry trends through research and learning.

nProvide support to team members and address software issues promptly.

You would be able to operate as an independent consultant for this assignment, which I can support with.
