We are currently looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our diverse international team supporting our EMEA region, with a primarily focus on our UK business.

The role will be based in one of our main UK offices: London (Uxbridge), Sheffield, Bristol or Manchester (hybrid setup).

The Legal Counsel will provide advice on all legal and regulatory matters that impact Insight, working with all business functions to ensure compliance with all our related obligations.

The legal team has a strong reputation for delivering legal advice and support on matters of key strategic, financial, and reputational importance to the business, all with a strong commercial awareness.

The Legal Counsel will be expected to enhance the existing team, contributing to the overall strategic goals of Insight.

Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to all areas of Insight’s business within the UK and across EMEA.
  • Deliver timely and high-quality legal advice to the business in a practical and commercially focussed way.
  • Advise internal clients including Sales, HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Services including Solutions Delivery teams, and senior management on legal issues and risks, company policies and procedures, compliance with laws, and contracts.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, provide training on this matter to the wider Insight business.
  • Anticipate legal and regulatory change and prepare the business to comply with and take commercial advantage of such changes.
  • Work with our Data Protection Office providing legal support related to the GDPR.

Experience And Skills

  • Significant experience as a Legal Counsel, with international experience.
  • Strong commercial contracting experience including specifically relating to IT and Technology. Experience within the IT industry and contracting experience related to managed services/outsourcing is strongly desired.
  • In-house experience with an enterprise level or global business, and/or private practice experience with a reputable Firm.
  • Relevant professional Legal qualifications.
  • Experience in dealing with Data Protection, Compliance, Litigation and/or Employment Law matters are strongly desirable, as are language skills in addition to English.
