Employee Relations Specialist in Leeds

Hays HR are currently recruiting for a HRBP specialising in ER to work for a professional services firm based in Leeds City Centre on a 12-month FTC with the possibility of extension.

This role is working within a larger team of ER Specialists but will focus on the more complex cases.

• The role will suit someone looking for fixed term contract, you will be available immediately or at short notice and duties will include:
• ER case management including performance management, grievances, long term sick management, conduct, settlement agreements etc
• Acting as an advisor supporting HRBP’s. Delivering support, and guidance relating to ER issues where appropriate
• Conducting meetings, influencing and being part of the ER team delivering business strategies and initiatives.
• Monitoring, measuring and reporting on ER issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements, through ER data analysis, to enable fact based decision making. Always doing so to agreed formats and timescales.
• Taking accountability for ensuring that decisions are accurately captured and processed
• Managing complex cases from inception to completion giving guidance to the relevant teams throughout
• Conducting investigations and providing support at hearings. Building on stakeholder relationships throughout the process whether senior management or S/HRBP’s
• Supporting in project work, such as reviewing policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

• CIPD level 5 minimum (or equivalent in experience) or working towards but with minimum level 3 achieved
• Will have extensive high-volume experience in an ER case management role
• Excellent UK employment law knowledge
• Prioritisation skills – must be able to manage a heavy case load and prioritise well
• Confident enough to challenge constructively combined with a level of resilience
