KS3/4 English Teacher - Bury - September Prospero Teaching are supporting a popular secondary school in Bury to recruit for a qualified English teacher to join them in September 2024. It is essential that applicants are qualified to teach English literature & language to key stage 3 & 4 students and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . This school has long been one of the flagship schools within the authority and even after a disappointing OfSTED inspection last time around, there is a firm action plan in place and a recent informal monitoring visit by their trust suggested "Good with Outstanding". The Head is extremely well thought of by his peers and receives accolades from the wider trust and SLT across the area. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Bury Position English TeacherStart date September 2024 End date July 2025 Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP153 per day Hours 8:30AM 4PM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience teaching in a UK school (language & literature) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness training & FGM issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide a minimum of two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
