English Teacher in a Secondary School based close to the Salisbury AreaStarting September Pay – £140 - £210Location –Salisbury areaHours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-timePosition: English Secondary School TeacherLocation: Salisbury AreaOverview:Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a Secondary School based in the Salisbury area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be teaching English to students in KS3 and KS4, working in a supportive department.

The School will consider non-specialist English teachers for this role with experience teaching English in Secondary Schools.

Responsibilities:-          Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English, catering to different learning styles and abilities.

-          Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

-          Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.

-          Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and contribute to the overall improvement of the department.

About the School:The school is based in the Salisbury Area and is mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1100 students in total.

The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of not only the children but staff too and therefore offer training and support for staff who need it.

Qualifications and Requirements:-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.

-          Specialisation or degree in English.

-          Ideally experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.

-          Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

-          A genuine passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
