Family Law Solicitor in Liverpool

The City Recruiter is working with one of the most ambitious law firms in the Liverpool area; we are looking for a mid-senior family law solicitor to join our clients growing team!

As a Senior Family Solicitor you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients in matters pertaining to family law.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Representation: Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic violence cases. Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their interests are safeguarded throughout the legal process.
2. Case Management: Oversee all aspects of case management, from initial client consultation to resolution. Conduct thorough legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare evidence for court proceedings. Maintain accurate case files and ensure adherence to relevant legal procedures and deadlines.
3. Negotiation and Mediation: Utilize strong negotiation and mediation skills to facilitate amicable resolutions in family disputes whenever possible. Advocate on behalf of clients during mediation sessions and negotiate favourable settlements to minimize the need for lengthy court proceedings.
4. Court Advocacy: Represent clients in family court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals. Present compelling arguments and evidence to support clients' positions and achieve successful outcomes in court.
5. Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of developments in family law legislation and regulations. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and ethical standards in the provision of legal services. Provide guidance to clients on their rights and obligations under relevant family law statutes.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other legal professionals within the firm, including partners, associates, and support staff. Offer mentorship and guidance to junior solicitors and paralegals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in family law.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, financial remedies, and cohabitation disputes.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex family law cases from inception to resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a client-focused approach to legal practice.
• Full practising certificate with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
