About the Role:

As a Financial Controller, you will ensure the delivery of essential financial services and significantly impact the firm's growth trajectory.

This diverse and rewarding position offers a chance to drive strategic goals in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management Accounting: Produce timely and accurate management accounts for financial planning and strategy.
  • Management Reporting: Develop a comprehensive management reporting pack for informed decision-making by the Management Board.
  • Audit and Compliance: Manage the audit process for year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team through effective training and leadership strategies.
  • Systems and Processes Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance finance systems and processes to support scalable and efficient operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications: Fully qualified Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA).

Experience: Solid background in finance operations, with prior experience in a similar role or ready to step up into a Financial Controller position.

Experience in an accountancy practice or professional services environment is advantageous but not essential.

Skills:

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence and build confidence at all levels.
  • Proficiency in ICT and relevant software systems, with a keen interest in leveraging them for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex business operations and provide insightful financial and operational information.
