Financial Controller in Leeds

Search are excited to be partnering hugely successful owner-managed SME based out in Leeds to assist in the hire of a Financial Controller.Reporting to the Managing Director and supported by an experienced Finance team, the successful candidate will overseeing day-to-day financial operations ensuring there is a robust controls environment.The Financial Controller will be the number 1 in finance offering support to the wider business through offering financial/commercial support to non-financial managers.Responsibilities:Oversee preparation of financial reportingEnsuring there is a robust control environment in place to manage financial risks and controls.Collaborate with the leadership team to proactively drive business results through better planning, budgets, and forecasts.Oversee monthly/weekly payrollManage a small transactional teamManage the monthly accounting close process and year-end statutory accounts, maintaining strong relationships with auditors and tax accountants.Proactive development of processes and systems to add value.Company secretary responsibilitiesIn order to be considered for the role you must be:Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)5 years experience in a similar roleHappy to be hands-on & into the detailSalary:£60,000 - £70,000BonusStrong Private Pension Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
