Position: HR Team Leader Location: RemoteAnticipated start date: 10th June 2024 Salary: £16.00Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per weekShifts: Monday to Friday between 8:30am-5pm Type: Temporary until the end of OctoberBlue Arrow is offering a superb opportunity to work as a HR Team Leader, Working remotely. The role promises sociable working hours, a competitive pay rate for the right candidate.You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of cost effective, accurate and timely HR/Payroll services, ensuring high standards are maintained through competent and skilled team members. You will ensure effective processes and procedures are in place, quality assurance and validation checks are carried out as well as adherence to legislation and client Terms and Conditions of Employment. Whilst providing advice and support to clients on conditions of service for all categories of staff, is consistent and adheres to client policies and procedures. Managing excellent working relationships with external and internal clients, ensuring the team are providing exceptional customer service whilst ensuring working standards and Service Level Agreement targets are consistently met across the team, through effective inductions, training, development, benchmarking performance against agreed standards, management and monitoring of work and through quality assurance of processes and practice. You will lead on specific projects and service reviews of administrative procedures and processes as agreed with the HR and Payroll Delivery Manager and implement change in the interests of efficiency in the delivery of HR & Payroll services. Lead projects and activities to support service review and enhancements. Specific Responsibilities: * Manage a team of HR and Payroll Team Assistants to ensure the effective delivery of HR/Payroll Services to all clients through monitoring of skills and competency as set out in the Team Progression Framework, day to day support, monthly 1:1's, team meetings and monitoring of output.* Monitor the quality of services provided, ensuring payments and deductions are compliant with all regulations and legislation and client Terms and Conditions of Employment, liaising with the Management Team where changes need to be agreed and implemented. * Manage and monitor the overall team workload through the Customer Relationship Management System dashboards, to ensure payroll deadlines are adhered to, delivery to agreed Service Level Agreements and individual/team targets are met, whilst always maintaining a high standard. * Work with both internal and external clients to forge excellent working relationships through all communication mechanisms, enabling the timely resolution of complex issues or queries. Regularly monitor the communication channels across the team with clients to ensure consistency of approach and high levels of customer service are maintained. * Ensure the Customer Relationship Management System is consistently used across the team, producing reports for the Management Team to demonstrate performance at team and individual levels as well as adherence to Service Level Agreements. Any concerns should be immediately addressed with the HR and Payroll Delivery Manager. * Develop and ensure the regular maintenance of procedure manuals and all team training documents used for all processes and procedures, to ensure consistency of practice and compliance/adherence with all regulations and relevant legislation. * Lead on specific projects/service reviews as specified by the Management Team to develop, update and create new processes/procedures. Contribute to user acceptance testing, user groups, projects and forums both internally and externally as required, to ensure any changes to systems, processes etc are considered by all parties as part of successful implementation.Qualifications, work experience:Essential* Evidence of numeracy and literacy qualifications* Foundation Degree in Payroll Management/Intermediate Certificate in HR* Previous HR/Payroll experience * Experience of delivering high standard of customer service* Supervision of an Operational Team* Development and implementation of HR/Payroll policies and proceduresDesirable* Experience of working in the Education SectorKnowledge (Language, IT skills etc.):Essential* ICT Literacy, a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook* Numerate and literate, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail* Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures and communicate these effectively both verbally and orally.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills at several levels, in order to deal with customers and colleagues using tact and diplomacy* Effective and active team working* Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively within a deadline reacting calmly and effectively to constant changing work situations and pressure at the highest level* Detailed understanding of HR/Payroll processes and practicesDesirable* Operational knowledge of payroll software e.g., Midland ITrent* Experience of using a Client Relationship Management system * Knowledge of the Education SectorBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
