What will you be doing?

As an Insight Manager working within the Wholesale Supplier team, you will be a fundamental member of the account team, utilizing extensive industry knowledge to provide valuable insights into some of the top suppliers within the FMCG & Foodservice market.

A core focus for the Insight Manager will be to work with some of our major clients to help them understand the impact of social, economic and cultural trends on their categories and brands. We are looking for an individual with a passion for the FMCG and Foodservice market who is keen to understand more about the client’s strategy and help support their ambition and growth. The ideal candidate will be curious and inquisitive, with an innovative and analytical mindset, combined with excellent interpersonal and engagement skills in order to deliver an all-round service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • To act as a business consultant leveraging the breadth of SalesOut solutions in the pursuit of delivering business growth and efficiencies.
  • Drive engagement and penetration of SalesOut across all client functions through the execution of effective engagement strategies.
  • Develop and leverage strong, collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders, and work closely with other IRI functions to deliver an all-round positive client experience.
  • Understand the client’s processes & strategy in order to ensure SalesOut is adding value
  • Coordinate, execute, analyse and present findings in a succinct and impactful manner to recommend potential action steps and unlock additional opportunities.
  • Responsible for delivery of internal and external training on our platform for basic and advanced users
  • First point of contact for the clients on day-to-day questions in relation to the client versus market performance
  • To creatively cut through data and clutter and identify what is most important to the client
  • Work closely with all departments to identify new functionality for our core products, along with the appropriate pricing strategy based on understanding of our client base – both wholesaler and supplier
  • Support the development of Sales Out’s commercial proposition to supplier’s and deliver sector insights to clients and trade bodies
  • Work closely with the Analytics team to ensure they have full visibility of all sales opportunities and are involved at the most appropriate points in the sales cycle in order to cross analytic projects.
  • Skills & Experience required:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations
  • Attention to detail coupled with the ability to derive the “so what” meaning from insights.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present / engage with stakeholders clearly, concisely and in a compelling manner.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting data to generate meaningful insights.
  • Commercially skilled and able to spot sales opportunities.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business and corporate challenges.
  • Some knowledge of the Retail / FMCG industry and an interest in consumer and marketing trends.
  • Ability to effectively work with virtual and diverse teams.

  • Location

    Flexible location policy (hybrid), however is the requirement to travel to client’s offices around the UK on an ad hoc basis and to Circana’s Head Office in Bracknell (roughly once per month).
