Due to a recent promotion, we’re seeking an Insurance Officer to join our small yet perfectly formed Assurance, Risk and Transactions team!

Insurance OfficerLocation: Birmingham, Bath Row, B15 1LZSalary: £41,870 per annumHours: 35 hours per weekContract Type: Full Time, PermanentThe RoleAs the Insurance Officer you’ll coordinate all insurance risk within the business, ensuring that we have the correct insurance needed to mitigate current and future business.

The Housing environment in which we operate is complex, fast-paced and continually evolving, which makes this role equally varied and interesting!

As the Insurance Officer you’ll be responsible for: * Providing effective and prompt claims processing and handling.

* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as legal representatives, brokers, and operational teams to defend and investigate claims effectively.

* Gathering evidence and identifying witnesses to assist insurers determining liability.

* Recovering and reconciling insurance funds received from insurers and third parties.

Our ideal candidate?

We’re seeking a self-motivated and credible professional with the following skills and experience: * You’ll have experience of insurance matters within a Property, Housing, Building or Motor environment.

* You’re able to demonstrate knowledge of insurance cover, claims procedures and renewal of policies – remember to show case this in your Cover Letter!

* You’ll have experience of using Excel to maintain spreadsheets, identify trends and create reports/dashboards.

* You’ll have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.

* You’ll hold or be willing to work towards a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (CII).

As a Smart Working organisation, you can expect a balance of working from the office (Birmingham, Bath Row) and from home – typically, a minimum of 3 days per week working from the office is expected but this may vary dependent on business needs.
