Legal Specialist in London

*This is an on-site position based in Belgrade, Serbia.

You will join the overseas operation management team of Zijin Mining Group - a global mining company based in China and operates in more than 15 countries worldwide.

Job Requirements:

1. Education and Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field; possessing a professional lawyer’s qualification certificate is preferred.
2. Work Experience : At least 2 years of relevant work experience, with a background in corporate legal affairs or experience in a law firm; experience in handling corporate compliance matters, contract review, and management is essential.
3. Skills Requirements : Strong ability to draft legal opinions and review contracts; proficiency in written and spoken English, with Spanish/French/Russian language ability as a bonus; capable of handling international legal documents; excellent logical thinking and analytical skills, with good communication and coordination abilities.
4. Personal Qualities : High level of professional ethics and confidentiality awareness; strong team spirit and ability to work independently; excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Job Descriptions:

1. Review, negotiate, and draft contracts, ensuring all contracts are reviewed promptly.
2. Provide support for corporate governance and other legal and compliance matters, and assist in resolving major overseas disputes.
3. Collect and analyze laws, regulations, political and industry standards of the countries where the group’s overseas projects are located(South America, Europe, Africa etc.) and conduct research as needed.
4. Interpret the materials and compliance management systems of overseas projects, enhance communication, and understand project requirements.
5. Analyze and summarize legal risks of projects, drafting reports to inform management of issues.
6. Provide professional legal opinions and litigation advice for major operational decisions of projects.
7. Track major legal disputes, and carry out reporting, statistics, and analysis of these disputes.
8. Handle tasks assigned by senior leadership.
