M&A Associate Director in London

The Invenire Group are currently working with a boutique advisory arm of a leading professional services firm who are looking to bring on an M&A Associate Director.

They are looking to further expand this team through the addition of an Associate Director, and are looking for an individual who can bring a different perspective and experience to feed into the evolution of the team.

The Role

• Executing a variety of transactions, from trade sales to private equity deals.
• Operate with increasing autonomy on simpler transactions while collaborating closely with Directors/Partners on more complex endeavors.
• Executing assignments to the highest standards, demonstrating ownership and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
• Guiding and overseeing junior team members, offering constructive feedback and support.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, cultivating trusted advisor relationships.
• Fostering trust and rapport with clients and referrers.
• Sharing expertise and knowledge with team members to foster growth and provide top-tier advice to clients.
• Mentoring and nurturing junior Managers and Executives within the M&A team, including reviewing their work and providing guidance.
• Contributing to the growth and development of the team alongside senior members, empowering junior colleagues.
• Assisting with resource management across the team.
• Proactively engaging in business development opportunities, generating innovative ideas.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent.
• Corporate finance experience in executing disposals, acquisitions, and fundraising, with opportunities to lead and be supported by the team.
• Strong relationship-building skills to serve as the main client liaison, lead meetings, and represent the team and firm.
• Managerial experience in developing and training junior team members, along with providing constructive feedback.
