Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Denham

Pay Range/details: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega Resource are now supporting a global recognised specialist manufacturer of ejection seats and safety-related equipment for aviation industry. The right candidate will be responsible the generation of design concepts as well as developing and supporting the products in line with engineering specifications and customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Design Engineer

• Carrying out performance and structural calculations, producing 3D models and supporting documentation as part of development and sustainment projects.
• Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
• Create detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Produce 3D models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Communicate with customers to gain an understanding of what alterations they need to make and how that can happen.

Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Design Engineer

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and best practices.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
