Location: Eastleigh or Bristol (Hybrid role)- Full UK Driving license essential for site visits and team meetings in Eastleigh - Ideally the candidate will be in M4 area to cover our clients sites.
Salary: Between £55,000,- £65,000 per annum plus car allowanceWorking hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – FridayBenefits: Car Allowance, 25 Days Holiday + BH, Company Pension, Private Healthcare, Company Sick Pay, Flex BenefitsJob Purpose:To form part of the Estimating Team in meeting Sales Targets and company objectives – both for existing clients and new opportunities within Mission Critical Solutions.
Principal Accountabilities: * Conduct accurate mechanical estimates for a range of projects within the MCS portfolio * Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
* To have industry knowledge to keep abreast of competitors methodologies.
* Provide information and prepare and compilation of proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of Project delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.
* Proactive approach to the continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
* Management of the implementation of ‘best practice’.
* Management of the implementation of common practice across the division to ensure meaningful commercial and operational datum’s are established.
* Obtaining specialist subcontractor costs.
* Read and understand the client requests / documentation.
* Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process.
* Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation.
* Update Pipeline Reporting System and to contribute, to the generation of BD Management information reports.
* Attend Divisional Bid Meetings.
* Progressing submitted tenders.
* Assist in formulation of tender returns.
* Establishing agreed benchmarks for performance.
* Measurement of performance versus contracted requirements.
* Identification of a broad range of cost saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations.
* Interactions with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.
* Other duties as directed by the Bid Manager.
* Candidate Profile * Person SpecificationQualifications and Experience: * Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
* Ideally have experience in Data Centre projects * Excellent management experience.
* Relevant experience of estimating within a Building services contractor * Proficient IT Skills to include, Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL
