Senior Salmon are currently searching for Mechanical fitters in the Nottinghamshire area for their client in the oil, gas and renewables industry, we are seeking experienced Fitters / Assemblers to join the team as soon as possible.
Job Duties:• Assembly various machines from initial stages of build through to completion.
• Mechanical assembly of sub-components and optional units.
• Hydraulic assembly of sub-components and optional units.
• Pneumatic assembly of sub-components and optional units.
• Fabrication of small assemblies and guards as required.
• Requisitioning of stock components from stores.
• Ensure shop floor processes and systems are followed.
• Identifying any problems or discrepancies and reporting to Shop Floor Foreman.
• Ensure work area is clean and tidy and free from any obstacles, ensuring any processes carried out in the working area are safe to carry out.
Required Skills:• Previous experience of machine building desirable.
• Must have experience of mechanical/ hydraulic assembly.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• Must have experience of fabrication/welding.
• Machining experience desirable.
• Good communication skills
