Merchandiser in Salford

We are recruiting a Merchandiser (Import) to join our experienced children's wear team at our Manchester Salford site.

Working in the merchandising team, you'll work to ensure delivery and agreed gross margin while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards that Cooneen By Design clothing is known for.

Responsibilities * Attend Handover meetings and take ownership of approved design pack, and correspondence to customer and supplier * ​Be responsible for lab dips/strike offs and bulk fabric submissions and send to the customer for approval.

* Raise orders on the internal system and notify country offices / factories as required.

* Input data into the internal shipping spreadsheet for the production and warehousing departments.

* Manage Customer and Licensor approvals to meet critical path.

* Upon receipt of the contract from the customer, report any discrepancies to the Account Manager and once approved, notify the country offices / factories.

* Update critical path and send to the customer as required.

* Complete customer work books.

* Complete customer packaging requirements and send to factory.

* Check licensor approvals and upload onto the system.

* Order photographic samples with factories and advise the Account Manager of agreed dates for delivery.

* Liaise with the Licensing co-ordinator regarding the development and approval of licensor packaging.

* Check gold seal samples and packaging.

* To ensure all paperwork is kept up to date and filed accordingly.

* Ensure customer contracts match our PO/SO and notify sales of any discrepancies.

* Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.

* To identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.

* To implement improvements, which have been agreed with your Manager.

​The PersonWe are looking for an individual with merchandising experience who can demonstrate the following:​Essential * Previous Import Merchandising experience.

* Good IT skills, particularly MS Office packages.

* Third level qualification in a relevant field * Experience of dealing with and resolving issues with customers / factoriesDesirable * Previous experience of working within the textile industry preferably in Merchandising/Production department.

* Ability to see a full colour range.
